Celebrity Cruises is elevating the onboard experience with the introduction of four brand-new venues on its newest Edge-series ship, Celebrity Xcel. Set to debut in November, these new additions include a poolside retreat, a neon-lit games lounge, spa enhancements and a flagship retail store.
“Celebrity Xcel will set sail with seven new elevated experiences that invite guests to escape their daily routine and make memories that will last a lifetime,” said Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises, in a press statement. “With so much innovation at every turn, the journey will be just as fun as the destinations themselves.”
Celebrity Xcel’s New Spaces
The new Celebrity Pool Club will feature plush sunbeds, a pool valet delivering chilled towels and card games and private cabanas. On the final sea day of each Caribbean sailing, the Pool Club transforms into the Poolest Day Ever, with live Caribbean music, DJ sets, pool games and themed cocktails. As night falls, guests can enjoy the Shine the Night poolside event with gourmet bites and drinks.
Attic at The Club brings an adults-only, retro-inspired game room to life with neon-lit decor and 24/7 access to classics like Pac-Man, NBA Showtime and Golden Tee. The immersive lounge also features darts, foosball, shuffleboard and private event spaces for karaoke, virtual golf and more.
The most expansive spa in the Celebrity fleet debuts onboard Xcel, anchored by the first-ever Hydra Room. This water-focused wellness sanctuary features bubbling pools with massage jets and heated loungers. Guests can also relax on the exclusive Vitamin D Deck, an open-air terrace reserved for Thermal Suite guests. Rounding out the new offerings is Celebrity Flagship, a boutique-meets-exhibit space that celebrates the brand.
Celebrity Xcel will begin its inaugural Caribbean season in November, sailing 7-night itineraries from Fort Lauderdale to destinations including The Bahamas, Mexico, the Cayman Islands, Puerto Plata, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. In summer 2026, the ship will head to Europe for Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona and Athens, with itineraries ranging from 7 to 11 nights and including overnight stays in Madeira.
