Alaska Airlines Adds Pacific Northwest Flavors to Main Cabin Menu

Alaska Airlines is bringing Pacific Northwest flavors onboard its fleet this fall with new Main Cabin meal options from Seattle favorites like Ellenos and Evergreens, along with additional hot breakfast, lunch and dinner selections available for pre-order beginning Sept. 2.

Seattle Favorites on Alaska Flights

For breakfast, travelers can order a new Ellenos yogurt breakfast plate featuring the Seattle-based brand’s Marionberry yogurt, accompanied by blueberry tea loaf and fresh fruit. Alaska Airlines is also introducing two additional warm breakfast options on most flights longer than 1,100 miles.

For lunch, the airline is expanding its exclusive partnership with Seattle-founded Evergreens with a new spicy kale Caesar salad. The meal includes romaine lettuce, kale, diced chicken breast, grape tomatoes, fresh jalapeños, aged Parmesan, Caesar dressing, sunflower seeds and fresh lemon.

“We’re grateful to Alaska Airlines for championing Pacific Northwest brands and proud to bring a new Evergreens entrée onboard,” said Neil Harfert, CEO of Evergreens, in a press statement. “As a Seattle-founded company, this longstanding partnership allows us to provide travelers fresh, flavorful options that accommodate a variety of dietary preferences.”

Additional lunch and dinner selections available for pre-order include a warm tamari tofu bowl, made with tamari-seasoned tofu, stir-fried vegetables and basmati rice; green curry with chicken, available on eastbound and westbound flights from Hawaiʻi; and a chicken salad croissant sandwich served with apple slices and grapes.

Alaska Airlines allows guests to pre-order meals up to 14 days before their flight and until approximately 20 hours before takeoff. Alaska’s pre-order program includes at least one hot meal option on flights longer than 1,100 miles. The new offerings are available through the mobile app and Alaska Airlines’ inflight food and beverage menu.
