Airlines are expanding their networks and enhancing their offerings with new routes, upgraded onboard experiences and travel advisor incentives. This latest roundup includes new nonstop service from United Airlines and Condor, a winter group opportunity from Finnair and new premium options from Allegiant.
Allegiant Adds Free Drinks, New Premium Seating
Beginning Aug. 1, 2026, Allegiant will offer complimentary beverage service on all flights, including soft drinks, juice and water. Members of the Allways Rewards Visa program will also have access to additional beverage options, including premium selections such as coffee, protein shakes, sports drinks and alcoholic beverages with a mixer.
The airline will also introduce Allegiant First, a new premium seating option debuting on select aircraft in spring 2027. The product will feature eight seats in a two-by-two configuration at the front of the aircraft, offering travelers additional space, comfort and flexibility.
Allegiant First seats will include increased legroom, 37-inch seat pitch, five-inch recline, calf rests, adjustable headrests and upgraded service elements. The fare will also include a personal item, carry-on bag and one checked bag up to 70 pounds, along with priority check-in and boarding.
The new seating option will complement Allegiant Extra, giving travelers more choices between the airline’s value-focused fares and upgraded experiences.

Condor Adds New Frankfurt-Chicago Nonstop Service
Condor is expanding its North American network with new nonstop service between Frankfurt (FRA) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) beginning May 14, 2027.
The seasonal route will operate daily through Sept. 12, 2027, giving U.S. travelers a new option for reaching Germany and connecting onward throughout Europe via Condor’s Frankfurt hub. With the addition of Chicago, Condor will offer nonstop service to Frankfurt from 12 gateways across the U.S. and Canada.
Flights will operate aboard Condor’s Airbus A330neo aircraft, featuring upgraded cabin amenities across Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.

Finnair Launches Winter Group Incentive for Advisors
Finnair has launched a new Winter 2026/27 group incentive for North American travel advisors, offering special group fares from select U.S. gateways and added benefits for qualifying bookings to Finland.
Eligible groups booked between now and Oct. 31, 2026, for travel between Oct. 25, 2026, and March 27, 2027, can access fares starting at $800 from Dallas, New York, Los Angeles and Miami. Advisors booking groups of 20 or more passengers will also receive a complimentary return ticket to Helsinki.
The incentive is designed to help advisors capitalize on growing demand for Nordic winter travel, including popular experiences in Rovaniemi, home to Santa Claus Village and Northern Lights adventures, and Kittilä, the gateway to Finland’s Levi and Ylläs ski resorts.
Finnair offers year-round service from New York and Dallas, as well as seasonal winter flights from Miami, with connections through Helsinki to northern Finland in as little as 40 minutes. The airline has also completed its long-haul cabin upgrade, including a new Business Class seat across its fleet.

United Airlines Restarts Newark-Madeira Nonstop Service
United Airlines has relaunched nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Madeira’s Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport (FNC), reconnecting U.S. travelers with the Portuguese island destination.
The seasonal route operates three times weekly from May 16 through Sept. 23, 2026, with flights departing Newark on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and returning from Madeira on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Service will operate aboard a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
The new nonstop connection expands access to Madeira’s landscapes, wine experiences and cultural attractions while complementing existing European routes from destinations including Lisbon, Porto, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Brussels and Nice.
Travelers visiting outside the summer season can also reach Madeira year-round through connecting service via Lisbon and Porto with TAP Air Portugal’s U.S. network.
