“While I’m taking time to consider the road ahead, my memories will be illuminated by the friendship, laughs and partnerships I have been lucky enough to experience,” he continued. “I’ll be cheering for all of you from a new seat (hopefully in a sky box somewhere!) and look forward to hearing of more big things from my friends and colleagues.”

The Globus family of brands will divide Born’s responsibilities. Jeff Russell and Cory McGillivray will oversee consumer marketing, travel advisor marketing and communications.

A graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, Born joined the Globus family of brands in 2001 and spent nearly a quarter century leading marketing strategy for Globus, Cosmos and Avalon Waterways. He also played a role in the 2004 launch of Avalon Waterways, helping establish the river cruise brand in a rapidly growing market.

Before joining Globus, Born served as VP of Account Services at Denver-based Karsh & Hagan Communications.
