W Hotels has a few new openings round the world for 2019, but that’s not all, there are a few properties being renovated and a few new programs at various properties.
Here’s the breakdown on what’s going on at W Hotels. In the first quarter of 2019, W Dubai—The Palm and the W Muscat will be opening; W Aspen will debut in the second quarter, while the W Ibiza will open in the third quarter. Finally, the W Philadelphia and W Abu Dhabi—Yas Island will make their debuts at the end of 2019. Properties that are getting a bit of a facelift are the W Washington D.C., W Atlanta—Midtown, and the W Atlanta—Buckhead.
As for new programming, the brand is adding everything from music festivals, to wellness, and LGBTQ programming at a few of its properties. When the W Dubai—The Palm opens it will host a music festival in March. For those clients seeking a wellness-centered escape, suggest they stay during a FUEL Weekend, which is the W’s Detox/Retox/Repeat Wellness Retreat series. These wellness retreats will be hosted at the W Costa Rica on Feb. 28-March 4, 2019; the W Dubai—The Palm on April 11-13, 2019; and at W Aspen on Aug. 23-26, 2019.
There will also be a few ongoing projects, such as W Records, the brand’s official record label, which will be dropping new tracks throughout the year—all performances are recorded at W Sound Suites around the world. For those clients interested in LGBTQ+ programming, Queer Me Out will continue with panel discussions and more throughout the year, and What She Said, W’s female empowerment speaker series will also continue across the globe.
