Those bookworms on your client list won’t have to worry about packing their favorite beach read when heading to Dream Inn Santa Cruz. Starting this month, a complimentary book will be left bedside in each of the 165 guestrooms.
Every time a new guest checks into the hotel, a new book will be placed at their bedside. The books will be changed monthly; and this month’s picks include “30 Days to Me,” “Surfing with Snakes & Dragons,” and a children’s pick titled, “Paint by Stickers.”
The new bedside reading program is one of the new amenities being offered, after the property’s recent renovation. The property’s revamp includes a retro-surfer inspired decor, which pays homage to Santa Cruz’s history as a surfing town. The dark wood furnishings and turquoise accents are seen throughout the guestrooms, and the property’s restaurant and bar, Aquarius and Jack O’Neill Lounge. Guests can also enjoy onsite surfing lessons, a weekly taco cart, and poolside BBQ grill, plus a balloon and tattoo artist, and poolside yoga.
Rates in August range from $399 to $699 per night. And for stays Oct. to Nov. rates start at $239 to $439.
