Silversea has unveiled a selection of renderings showcasing multi-million dollar renovations that will take place on the Silver Cloud ahead of her conversion into an ice-class expedition ship. Taking place between August and October of this year, the renovations will include updates to the ship’s public spaces including the enhancement of the Panorama Lounge and Venetian Lounge; new teak flooring, upholstery and lighting in La Terrazza; and new carpet and upholstery in The Restaurant; plus the creation of the Observation lounge. Silver Cloud will also feature a new gym with Technogym equipment.
In addition to interior updates, the multi-million dollar refurbishment will strengthen Silver Cloud’s hull allowing her (and her 200 passengers) to explore polar waters. The limited capacity in polar regions also means that all guests can disembark at the same time to explore each region. Daily presentations and lectures by experts will be available in the ship’s theater, in addition to being live-streamed to all suites. For more information, visit silversea.com.
