Hurtigruten Expands Nordic Tours With New Multi-Country Itineraries

Hurtigruten is expanding its land-and-sea tours portfolio with the launch of three new itineraries, adding expanded access to Norway, Finland and Iceland.

The new itineraries build on Hurtigruten’s growing collection of guided, partially guided and self-guided experiences that combine rail journeys, cultural immersion and voyages aboard the Hurtigruten Coastal Express.

New Hurtigruten Tours for 2025–2026

The newly launched Grand Nordic Adventure is a 19-day itinerary spanning Finland, Norway and Iceland. The tour begins in Helsinki and includes a rail journey across Finland, a stay at the Santa Claus Hotel, guided experiences focused on Sami culture and outdoor activities such as husky hiking.

Guests then embark on a six-day southbound Hurtigruten Coastal Express voyage from Kirkenes to Bergen before flying to Iceland. The Iceland portion includes Reykjavik, the Blue Lagoon, major waterfalls and Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Nordic Winter Journey, a 13-day guided tour, focuses on winter travel in Finnish Lapland and Norway. The itinerary begins in Lapland, where travelers have opportunities to view the Northern Lights while staying at a wilderness camp resort. The journey includes snowmobiling, snowshoeing and sleigh rides, as well as visits to Inari and the SIIDA Sami Museum. The tour also features a cruise through the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, a ride on the Flåm Railway and a southbound Hurtigruten Coastal Express voyage.

Hurtigruten has also introduced Norway’s Capital and Coast, a summer-only itinerary combining time in Oslo with a six-day southbound Coastal Express cruise from Kirkenes to Bergen. The itinerary includes several of Norway’s UNESCO-listed natural and cultural sites along the route.
