Azamara Cruises is expanding its 2027 Overland Experiences collection, introducing 18 curated land journeys across seven countries. Available on select sailings throughout 2027, the programs allow guests to temporarily leave their ship for multi-day adventures before rejoining their voyage at a later port.
Destination Immersion Beyond the Ship
Azamara fully coordinates each Overland Experience and includes premium accommodations, transportation—including flights when required—guided touring and select meals. The small-group experiences offer greater access to inland destinations that cannot be reached by sea.
Among the collection’s standout itineraries is the Bora Bora Overwater Bungalow Escape, available on the Jan. 5, 2027 departure of the 18-night Pacific Islands Cruise. The program includes a stay at Hotel Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts, allowing guests to experience one of the South Pacific’s most sought-after destinations from an overwater bungalow.
In Southeast Asia, the Majestic Laos & Vibrant Hanoi itinerary departs March 14, 2027, as part of a 19-night sailing between Bangkok and Hong Kong. The 5-day journey explores the French colonial influences of Vientiane, Luang Prabang and the cultural and historic highlights of Hanoi.
Meanwhile, travelers sailing on the April 2, 2027 East Asia itinerary can opt for Shanghai, Xi’an & Beijing, a 5-day land extension that showcases some of China’s Terracotta Warriors, the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
