Azamara Debuts 2028 Sailings With More Asia Routes and New European Ports

 
 

Azamara Cruises has opened bookings for its 2028 spring, summer and fall sailings, introducing an expanded Asia deployment, 12 new ports and a continued focus on immersive destination experiences.

The new deployment spans a wide range of itineraries across Europe and Asia, with the cruise line emphasizing longer stays and deeper destination engagement. According to Azamara, 87 percent of the season’s deployment time will be spent in port, including more than 360 late-night and overnight calls representing 53 percent of total port days.

Asia 2.0

One of the biggest developments for 2028 is the cruise line’s largest-ever Asia season aboard Azamara Pursuit. The deployment will include 33 sailings and introduce nine new Combination Cruises allowing travelers to visit multiple countries, including Japan, South Korea and China, within one extended itinerary.

The 2028 season will also feature 12 maiden ports across Europe and Asia, includeing Caen, France; Sokcho in South Korea; Tokushima and Miyazaki in Japan and Delphi, Greece. 

Azamara is also continuing to expand its scenic and river cruising experiences, with itineraries sailing into inland destinations via routes such as the Guadalquivir River to Seville, the Garonne River to Bordeaux and the Seine to Rouen. Additionally, itineraries include sailings along the Yangtze River into Shanghai and through the Mekong Delta to Ho Chi Minh City.

The line-up also includes a series of Specialty Cruises tied to major global events and cultural experiences. These include Grand Prix-themed sailings and an itinerary centered around The 156th Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes, with Azamara Journey calling in Liverpool.
