Seabourn has received approval to begin sailing to Cuba from Miami and San Juan, Puerto Rico, starting in late 2019, making it Carnival Corporation’s third cruise brand to visit the island.

Booking for Seabourn’s cruises to Cuba opened today allowing travelers to choose from four separate itineraries with five departure dates. The 11-, 12-, and 14-day sailings will visit five ports in Cuba, calling at three or four on each itinerary. All five voyages will feature overnight stops in Havana so guests can explore this capital city, which earned its UNESCO World Heritage site designation during its 500th anniversary. Other ports of call will include Antilla (Nipe Bay), Cienfuegos, Punta Frances on the Isla de Juventud, and Santiago de Cuba.

While off the ship, guests may join UNESCO Partner Tours to explore Cuba’s World Heritage cities and the Biosphere Reserve at Las Terrazas; plus participate in excursions tracing the Cuban culinary, musical and artistic heritage, which include meetings with art and community projects in Havana, Santiago and Cienfuegos. While in Cienfuegos travelers have the opportunity to visit the colonial town of Trinidad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition, guests can participate in several complimentary Seabourn special events and experiences, such as Caviar in the Surf, beach barbecues in Isla Catalina and Carambola Beach, as well as Marina Day with complimentary watersports in Isla Catalina operating directly from the back of the ship.

“For many luxury travelers, they aim to find new places to explore and discover meaningful new cultural opportunities, and Cuba is one of the most sought-after emerging destinations for many of our guests,” said Richard Meadows, president of Seabourn, in press materials. “Our guests and travel partners have been anxiously awaiting an ultra-luxury travel experience with a wider selection of destinations in this relatively undiscovered Caribbean treasure. These Cuba itineraries are fresh and sure to satisfy the curiosity of anyone who has considered visiting.”

Guests visiting Cuba with Seabourn will sail aboard the 458-guest Seabourn Sojourn. Departure dates are Nov. 4, 16, and 28, 2019 for 12-day itineraries departing from Miami, while an 11-day voyage will depart from Miami on Dec. 10, 2019 and head to San Juan, Puerto Rico before sailing to Cuba. The fifth and final voyage will depart on Dec. 21, 2019 for a 14-day sailing.
