Scenic Discovery Yachts will send its ship, Scenic Eclipse, to Chile and Patagonia’s fjords for a limited 2027 season, offering guests helicopter flightseeing, submersible dives and Zodiac excursions along one of the least visited coastlines in the Southern Hemisphere.

Chile and Patagonia: Up Close and Personal
The region includes sheer cliffs, hanging glaciers and narrow passages such as Puerto Eden and the English Narrows, terrain that requires a vessel built for polar navigation. Scenic Eclipse carries two helicopters, a submersible and a Discovery Team of up to 20 specialists, along with Zodiac cruising, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding included in the fare. Wildlife along the route includes humpback and blue whales, Magellanic and Humboldt penguins, sea lions and Andean condors. The fjords also lead to Chiloe, an island known for brightly painted houses and wooden churches recognized as World Heritage sites.
Onboard, the ship offers all-suite accommodation with butler service, eight bars and lounges, more than 100 whiskies and up to ten dining venues staffed by 38 chefs from 15 nations, with no surcharge for specialty dining. The 5,920 sq. ft. Senses Spa rounds out the wellness offerings. Scenic designs, builds, owns and operates its own fleet across yacht and river cruising, along with connecting land journeys, giving it direct control over service standards fleetwide.
