Pelorus has introduced a Mediterranean itinerary tied to renewed interest in Homer’s epic, timed to Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of The Odyssey. Called the Odyssey Experience, the private yacht and helicopter journey retraces Odysseus’ route through Troy, Greece, Sicily, Malta and the Amalfi Coast before ending in Ithaca.

Pelorus’ Odyssey
The itinerary pairs archaeological access with private performances and specialist guides, moving between coastline, ruins and volcanic islands aboard a high-performance sailing yacht. Historians, archaeologists and local experts accompany guests at each stop, on foot, by helicopter or by yacht.
Chapter I: The Fall of Troy opens with a walking tour of the ancient city led by a historian, followed by a stop at the Temple of Apollo Smintheus, where friezes depict scenes from the Trojan War. At sunset, a live performance reenacts the fall of Troy, followed by a private dinner staged among the ruins.
Chapter II: Monsters, Myths and Volcanic Seas moves to Sicily, where historians and archaeologists lead guests through sites including the Valley of the Temples and coastal settings used as filming locations for the new screen adaptation, tracing the civilizations and natural forces that shaped the region.
Chapter III: The Long Way Home puts guests aboard the private yacht to cross the Strait of Messina, the strait said to hold the mythical monsters Scylla and Charybdis, then continues through the volcanic Aeolian Islands and along the southern Italian coast, including an after-hours visit to Castello Aragonese on Ischia. The chapter closes with a final feast in Ithaca.
The charter includes a private yacht, captain and crew, along with historians, volcanologists and archaeologists at key points along the route. The full itinerary can extend to Troy, Sicily, Malta, the Peloponnese, the Aeolian Islands, the Amalfi Coast and Ithaca, with route, experiences and duration tailored to each guest’s schedule.
