Hyatt and Delta Launch New Loyalty Partnership With Dual-Earning Benefits

Hyatt and Delta Air Lines are teaming up on a new long-term loyalty partnership that will give eligible elite members a way to earn both World of Hyatt points and Delta SkyMiles on qualifying flights and hotel stays.

The collaboration, which has not yet announced a launch date, will connect the two loyalty programs and add new earning opportunities for frequent travelers.

Once the program launches, eligible World of Hyatt elite members will be able to earn Hyatt points on qualifying Delta airfare purchases in eligible fare classes. Delta SkyMiles Medallion members will be able to earn miles on qualifying stays at participating Hyatt properties.

More Ways to Earn on Trips

The partnership is also expected to include exclusive benefits and experiences, with additional offerings to be unveiled later this year.

To illustrate how the two programs could work together, Hyatt and Delta highlighted several flight-and-hotel combinations, including Delta’s new JFK-to-Malta service paired with Hyatt Centric Malta; Seattle-to-Rome service with the upcoming Thompson Rome; and Austin-to-Paris service with Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme.

Other pairings include Delta’s Atlanta-to-Cancun route with Secrets Moxche Playa del Carmen, Denver-to-Nashville with Grand Hyatt Nashville, and Los Angeles-to-Hong Kong with Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.

For travelers who regularly fly Delta and stay at Hyatt hotels, the biggest draw will be the ability to earn rewards on both sides of the trip rather than choosing which loyalty program gets the credit.
