Pleasant Holidays and its luxury brand Journese have announced the addition of South America to their destination portfolio with the opening of sales for vacation packages to Colombia starting on Oct. 29, 2018. The initial portfolio will feature 12 hotels and 20 sightseeing excursions in Colombia’s most popular cities for the U.S. travel market: Bogota, Cartagena, and Medellin.

To introduce the destination, Pleasant Holidays and Journese are offering booking incentives for travelers and travel advisors. Travelers receive $100 instant air credit per booking; travel advisors receive 500 bonus TRIP points and the chance to win travel prizes. The incentive offers are valid on new vacations booked by Dec. 31, 2018 for travel through June 30, 2019, and must include roundtrip airfare and accommodations for five nights or longer at a participating hotel.

The Colombia product for both brands includes customized itineraries for FIT vacations and groups including flights in all classes, hotel accommodations, airport transfers, tours and activities, plus travel protection coverage and more. The Colombia hotel portfolio features brands that are popular with American travelers, including Best Western, Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott and others. Most hotels are also directly connected to the Pleasant Holidays and Journese platforms featuring dynamic rates, inventory and instant reservation confirmations. Key airline partners serving Colombia from several U.S. cities include American Airlines, Avianca, Copa Airlines, LATAM Airlines and United Airlines. Multi-destination vacations with intra-destination flights within Colombia or combining Colombia with Central America destinations in Belize, Costa Rica and Panama are also available. Travel advisors can book a variety of commissionable sightseeing excursions in Colombia, including city tours and culinary experiences, as well as tours that explore the culture and history of the country.

To learn more about the inaugural Colombia product line, travel advisors can register for one of the upcoming webinars taking place on Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. PST and on Oct. 29 at 11 a.m. PST for Journese or 12 p.m. PST for Pleasant Holidays. An additional webinar with ProColombia that explores the destination in depth, including insights on the unique features of each city and tips on selling Colombia vacations, will follow in November.
