Aqua Expeditions has announced two new river cruise voyages for 2017 where guests will have the opportunity to join the company’s founder and CEO, Francesco Galli Zugaro, or consulting chef Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, on its vessels on the Peruvian Amazon and the Mekong River in Vietnam and Cambodia.
On the founder-hosted departures, guests can join Francesco Galli Zugaro on a biking adventure through the local streets along the Mekong or kayak with him on the Amazon to spot indigenous wildlife. Over cocktails, Zugaro will discuss topics from conceptualization and design to the construction and launch of each vessel. A 4-night Aqua Mekong departure will take place May 26-30, 2017 and Aug. 25-26, 2017. In addition, a 4-night Aria Amazon departure will take place Nov. 6-10, 2017.
Meanwhile, more culinary-minded guests can take one of two chef-hosted cruises with Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, who is the chef and owner of two of Lima, Peru’s trendiest restaurants. During the sailings, guests can take cooking classes with chef Schiaffino and travel with him to the local markets to learn about some of the locally grown and harvested ingredients that he uses to create his signature dishes on board such as the coconut tapioca with mango sorbet and causa with shrimp escabeche.
