From Mexico to Costa Rica, hospitality brands are expanding their footprint across Latin America with new openings, renovations and immersive experiences.
Autograph Collection Expands in Costa Rica
Autograph Collection Hotels has expanded its portfolio in Latin America with the debut of Santa Lucia Jungle Hacienda, a boutique property located at the base of Carara National Park and along the Tarcoles River, just 90 minutes from San Jose.
Set within a rare ecological transition zone between rainforest and dry forest, the 87-room property was designed to immerse guests in the region’s biodiversity while maintaining the brand’s signature focus on individuality and style. The resort’s architecture draws from Costa Rica’s colonial heritage, enhanced with modern design elements and mountain-view accommodations that include Deluxe Kings, Deluxe Doubles, Junior and One-Bedroom Suites, and the Presidential Suite.
Among the offerings is the River Bliss category—secluded rooms positioned along the riverbank featuring private terraces, outdoor fireplaces and panoramic views. Amenities at Santa Lucia include riverside pools, the Casa del Rio Restaurant, a spa and an Adventure Center offering curated activities such as guided hikes in Carara National Park, Tarcoles River safaris, birdwatching, horseback riding to Bijagual Waterfall and cultural tours of the property’s reimagined colonial village.
For groups and retreats, Santa Lucia offers customized all-inclusive packages starting at $250 per person, per night (plus room rate), inclusive of meals and beverages, based on group size and stay requirements.
