CIE Tours International’s Easy Edinburgh packages makes it easy for travelers to dive in to Scotland for a long weekend.

These 5-day itinerary starts off with a guide who will help guests get themselves oriented with the city. Then, for the remainder of their trip they’ll be free to explore at their own pace. Travelers will be able to enjoy the things that interest them the most without feeling rushed. On CIE Tours’ Edinburgh is for Whisky Lovers itinerary, guests will be guided to the best whisky bars the city has to offer. They’ll start off at Mercure Edinburgh Haymarket and on the first day enjoy music and malt at The Black Cat pub on Rose Street, which offers over 150 malt choices and live Scottish folk music. The next day they’re off to learn about the city’s drink at The Scotch Whisky Experience, where they’ll learn about the history, making, and tasting of whisky. For those interested in learning a little more, there’s a 90-minute Masterclass available as well. That evening they’ll head to the Devil’s Advocate, where they can choose from 400 whiskies and enjoy locally sourced modern Scottish fare. Day three brings them to taste Glayva—a spiced whisky fusion found in the outdoor markets or at festive celebrations. Then it’s off to the elegant Scotch Whisky Bar at the historic Balmoral Hotel with over 500 malt choices. Next up it’s a stop at the small, independent shop Jeffrey Street Whisky and Tobacco where they can family whiskies and shop from a collection of rare and limited whiskies they can bring home. Finally, it’s off to the Whiski Room, a Scottish restaurant which offers stunning views of Edinburgh, over 500 whisky options, plus tasting and pairing events such as Whisky and Chocolate or Whisky and Cheese. On the last day of the trip, travelers will experience Cadenhead—the oldest independent whisky bottler in Scotland.
