Carnival Cruise Line has added a new flair to Port Canaveral with the arrival of Carnival Venezia. The Venice-themed ship debuted at its new winter homeport last week; the arrival also marks a milestone for Carnival, as it becomes the only cruise line to operate five ships out of Port Canaveral.
Fun Italian Style
Arriving from New York after a 12-day Carnival Journeys cruise, Carnival Venezia will spend the winter months sailing to destinations in The Bahamas, the Caribbean and Mexico. Known for its “Fun Italian Style” theme, the ship captures the essence of Venice with unique dining and beverage concepts—as well as a vibrant onboard atmosphere. Among the highlights is the specialty restaurant Il Viaggio, showcasing curated dishes inspired by Italy’s diverse regions, and Frizzante, a sparkling wine and spritz bar.
The winter sailing schedule kicked off with a 4-day getaway to The Bahamas and continues with 15 week-long Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises. Additionally, two special 14-day Carnival Journeys voyages promise extended explorations for adventurous cruisers. The ship will return to New York in May 2025 after an 11-day repositioning cruise, continuing its seasonal schedule between the two ports through spring 2027.
