In conjunction with its 25th anniversary, Bay Gardens Hotel in Saint Lucia, part of Bay Gardens Resorts, a Saint Lucian-owned and -operated hotel group, has a new look after a close to $100,000 renovation of nine jr. executive suites and 10 superior rooms. Updates include soft refurbishments that incorporate Caribbean blues and corals, new drapery, artwork, and bed throws. The group plans to refurbish its 13 remaining superior rooms and four remaining jr. executive suites by the end of September 2020. In total, there are 87 rooms in the hotel.
In a statement, Bay Gardens Resorts owner and managing director Joyce Destang said, “For the dawn of a new decade, it is out with the old and in with the new.”
The update also include new mattresses, smart TVs, ceiling fans and AC units, and renovated bathrooms with new, stylish tiling. Environmentally friendly soap dispensers have replaced single-use plastic bottles at the group of hotels, which recently took top environmental stewardship honors at the 2019 St. Lucia Business Awards. Bay Gardens Hotel, Bay Gardens Inn and Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa each earned the prestigious Green Globe Gold Member certification.
Bay Gardens Resorts was also a runner-up in the environmental sustainability category at the 2019 Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s Caribbean Hospitality Industry Exchange Forum Awards in Miami last summer.
