Emerald Cruises & Tours has revealed details of its 2026-27 Southeast Asia river cruising season with 17 curated journeys.
The voyages feature journeys along the Mekong River through Vietnam and Cambodia, paired with immersive land tours in Laos and Japan.
“Emerald Cruises and Tours’ Southeast Asia collection offers travelers an effortless way to explore one of the world’s most captivating regions in style,” said Ken Muskat, President of Scenic Group USA/LATAM, in a press release statement. “With thoughtfully designed itineraries and the comfort of intimate ship luxury, guests can experience the authentic beauty, culture and spirit of Southeast Asia like never before.”
The cruises will be aboard the Emerald Harmony, custom-designed for intimate journeys with a maximum of only 84 guests and a high crew-to-guest ratio for personalized service. The Mekong River cruises are available as either an 8-day river cruise or a 10-day river cruise available during the green season with longer daytime sailing and deeper exploration into Cambodia.
Itinerary highlights include cultural experiences such as an Apsara Dance Performance in Siem Reap; watching the sunrise over the Angkor Wat; a monk blessing and Buddhist temple ceremony in Cambodia; a tour of Gieng Island including a visit to a local incense-making workshop and a traditional sampan-building yard; as well as guided visits to UNESCO-listed sites and vibrant local markets.
For those seeking more than the included excursions, the Emerald DiscoverMORE program offers additional opportunities to explore each destination, including cooking classes in Hoi An and silk craft workshops in Laos, available at an extra cost.
As well as the 8-Day Majestic Mekong Cruise (EWVC) and 10-day Meandering Majestic Mekong Cruise (EWVL), Emerald Cruises & Tours’ Southeast Asia river cruise season also includes a 24-day Grand Tour of Indochina (EWUL). Sailing from Hanoi to Bangkok through Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, the voyage will blend land, river and heritage sites across the culturally rich region. Highlights will include a Halong Bay cruise, guided tours of Hoi An and Hue, a luxury Mekong sailing and an exploration of Luang Prabang. While the 26-day Wonders of Japan, Vietnam and Cambodia (ECOS) itinerary will explore Japan and Southeast Asia, from Kyoto’s Geisha dinner and Hiroshima’s peace memorials to a Mekong River cruise featuring folk singing, a Lion Dance and temple visits. The journey will culminate with a sunrise at Angkor Wat and immersive experiences in Siem Reap.
