VisitPortugal has put together a video from their team, working from home, to inspire future travel, but to also remind travelers that right now, it’s time to stop. The video above is a reworking of the current Portuguese Tourism Board campaign to fit the situation we find ourselves in today. It was conceived and produced by teams working from home, making use of recent footage and a smartphone to record a new voiceover.
In press materials, Visit Portugal says, “These are challenging times for our industry—and for each of us personally. Our family and work lives were turned upside down in just an instant. We might feel isolated as we maintain our social distance but, in doing so, we are more united than ever.”
The created this video to inspire and bring hope to the community and travelers. “Although the world has come to a stop, we know that the tourism industry never will. We are resilient, and we are all connected by our common love of travel,” they say in a press release.
As travel advisors, you might want to share this video with your networks and clients. Remind them that this is temporary, and when things are ok for travel to resume, you will be there, as will the destinations and attractions they seek to experience.
