Hilton celebrated a milestone last month, opening its 100th hotel in Latin America: the 545-guestroom Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana. And while Hilton celebrates number 100, AccorHotels is celebrating its first hotel carrying the Fairmont flag in South America. AccorHotels will transform the Sofitel Copacabana to a 400-room Fairmont property with a new pool overlooking Copacabana Beach, as well as a new spa with a private VIP suite. Conrad Hotels & Resorts, meanwhile, has opened its first property in Mexico—the Conrad San Luis Potosi. It features 134 guestrooms, including 29 suites; the Sonoma Restaurant & Wine Bar, The Conrad Bar, and the casual Tequila Corner lounge; and a pool on the property’s fifth floor terrace overlooking the city’s skyline.

Over in Europe, Sandos Hotels & Resorts is expanding its portfolio with the opening of the Sandos El Greco Beach Hotel, an adults-only property in Cala de Portinatx, Ibiza. The all-inclusive, 250-room property opened its doors last month and features a Wellness Centre and onsite restaurants. sandos.com
Taking a detour over to the UAE, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of The Oberoi Beach Resort, Al Zorah in Ajman. The destination features long, white-sand beaches and cerulean lagoons, and the resort is nestled on 247

Dan Hotels has completed renovations to three of its properties in Israel—Dan Panorama Haifa, Dan Eilat and Dan Accadia (15 minutes outside of Tel Aviv). Dan Accadia, located on Herzliya Beach, received $11 million in upgrades with renovations to 117 guestrooms and suites, dining areas and corridors. The Dan Eilat on the Red Sea renovated 120 guestrooms, and the Dan Panorama Haifa renovated the 56 guestrooms on the top four floors of the hotel. danhotels.com
In Hawaii, the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach opened earlier this year in the former Waikiki Trade Center. The Honolulu property features 230 guestrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the ocean and Diamond Head. LATAM Airlines Brazil will launch a direct service connecting Orlando, FL, with Rio de Janeiro, Brazil staring July 2. The new nonstop service will operate three times a week, departing Orlando on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, and returning on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Due to this new flight schedule, LATAM will cancel its flight between JFK and Rio de Janeiro at the end of June. latam.com
Delta Air Lines has added a nonstop flight to St. Kitts & Nevis, including additional service from JFK and a second weekly nonstop flight from Atlanta operating throughout the winter season. This new flight is in addition to Delta’s existing Saturday nonstop service from Atlanta. As of Dec. 23, the new JFK nonstop flights will operate weekly on Saturdays to/from St. Kitts. And on Wednesdays from Dec. 23 to Jan. 6, 2018, and Tuesdays from Jan. 9, 2018 through March 27, 2018, Delta will operate a second weekly nonstop flight from Atlanta to/from St. Kitts. delta.com
