The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) marked the 6th Annual Global Piton Awards in Castries this weekend by honoring 34 travel professionals from around the world who generated the highest number of room nights for the destination during 2025. The event—hosted by Secrets St. Lucia—celebrates a global network of producers whose work drives measurable results for the island’s tourism economy.
“The Global Piton Awards celebrate more than sales achievements; they recognise ambassadors of Saint Lucia who consistently share our story with travellers around the world,” said CEO of Saint Lucia Tourism Authority Louis Lewis in a press statement. “Your passion, professionalism and belief in our destination have helped position Saint Lucia as one of the Caribbean’s leading tourism destinations, and for that we are most grateful.”
Saint Lucia Salutes Its Best Travel Trade Partners
Recipients came from Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and the Caribbean. Established to build direct ties with the professionals who sell the island most effectively, the Global Piton Awards has grown over its six years into one of Saint Lucia’s most recognized travel trade programs, honoring producers whose dedication and expertise in selling the destination have directly contributed to visitor arrivals and tourism revenue.
For the SLTA, the awards represent one component of a broader strategy to engage the global travel trade, a segment the authority has consistently identified as among the destination’s most influential advocates. Through training, ongoing outreach and strategic partnerships, the authority works to ensure travel professionals have the tools and knowledge to sell Saint Lucia with confidence.
