MSC Cruises is putting a bigger emphasis on onboard social experiences with the upcoming MSC World Asia, which will feature 40 bars, lounges and cafes when the new ship begins sailing the Mediterranean in December 2026.
The third ship in MSC Cruises’ World Class series, MSC World Asia, will debut Dec. 4 with 7-night Mediterranean itineraries calling at Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia for Rome, Messina and Valletta. The ship will introduce 13 new or reimagined venues compared with sister ship MSC World Europa.
New Experiences on MSC World Asia
Among the new additions are Clubhouse and Soda Bar, a family-focused space featuring interactive games, digital tables, a LEGO area and bumper cars. The adjacent Soda Bar will let guests create their own non-alcoholic drinks using soda bases, flavored syrups, cream and toppings. The venue will transition into a social space in the evening with cocktails and mocktails.
The Terraces Bar & Lounge takes a more Italian approach, offering classic aperitivo drinks such as Negronis and Aperol Spritzes alongside wines, prosecco and traditional bites. Panoramic sea views, live music and wine tastings will round out the experience.
At the Sky Box Bar, located within the Luna Park Arena, guests can order premium cocktails and watch bartenders prepare drinks through mixology demonstrations.
Poolside, Coral Cove Bar will draw inspiration from Philippine coral reefs, while the new Pan Asian Bar will complement the ship’s Pan Asian Street Food restaurant with Southeast Asian-inspired cocktails and beverages, including Jasmine Mojitos, Matcha Coladas and Asian beers.
Returning MSC Favorites
Along with the new concepts, MSC World Asia will bring back several familiar MSC Cruises venues, including Coffee Emporium, Fizz – Champagne Bar, All-Stars Sports Bar and Masters of the Sea, where beer is brewed onboard.
The ship’s design will incorporate subtle elements inspired by Asian culture, art and landscapes, reflecting the global influence behind MSC Cruises’ World Class series.
