Crystal Expands Fleet with Third Ocean Ship

Crystal has finalized an agreement with renowned Italian shipbuilder, Fincantieri, for the construction of a third ocean ship. The new vessel will be similar in design to its sister ships, with a capacity for 690 passengers. Guests can expect luxurious amenities and innovative designs, offering an exceptional cruise experience.

Developed by internationally acclaimed architectural firms, the ship’s interiors will be crafted using quality materials and expert craftsmanship. A highlight of the design will be a promenade extending around the ship’s entire perimeter, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy ocean views, much like the promenades aboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity.

Onboard Experiences

Culinary enthusiasts will have a wide range of dining options, including Umi Uma, the only Nobu at sea, and Beefbar, the creation of visionary restaurateur Riccardo Giraudi, along with dishes curated in collaboration with acclaimed chefs Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo.

Crystal will also continue its tradition of offering exclusive entertainment, including the Casino de Monte-Carlo, which will debut aboard Crystal Symphony this month, and Crystal Serenity in December.

The new ships will feature all-suite accommodations with private verandas, including a single-occupancy suite category for solo travelers. This commitment to comfort is further exemplified by a high crew-to-passenger ratio, ensuring personalized service and attention to detail.

“Exercising this option and finalizing the agreement to build a third ship demonstrates the enduring trust and partnership between my family and Fincantieri, a relationship that dates back to Sitmar Cruises and has evolved through Silversea to our current vision with Crystal,” said Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, Executive Chairman of A&K Travel Group, in a press statement.

Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group, added, “We are excited to expand our fleet and provide even more opportunities for our guests to explore the world, all while enjoying the extraordinary service and style that has become synonymous with Crystal.”

Two years after A&K Travel Group acquired Crystal in 2022, Crystal is focused on enhancing both its at-sea and on-shore offerings, while expanding its fleet to deliver unparalleled guest experiences.
