The Alfond Inn at Rollins, located in the heart of Florida’s historic Winter Park, is renovating 112 existing rooms and suites and will add another 71 luxury guestrooms and suites. In addition, a new spa will feature seven treatment rooms, and they’ll be a new fitness area. The project is expected to be completed by summer of 2023.

The design of the new wing—home to those new 71 guestrooms—will live in harmony with the original hotel structure, using natural light, a 4-story atrium, and striking artwork to provide continuity and a seamless transition from the existing space to the new areas. The design is set to be bold, bright and colorful, with tropical motif rugs over hardwood floors, yellow and blue accent walls and carved white headboards with decorative hanging lights over the sideboards. The guestroom windows are intentionally large to let the Florida sunshine in.

New Cafe & Spa at Alfond Inn

The expansion will include a new light-filled lobby cafe serving coffee, crepes and light bites, transitioning to beer and wine in the evenings. And wellness will be at the forefront of the expanded hotel, with a new spa that will feature seven treatment rooms, steam and sauna and a new fitness area. Located on the second floor of the new wing, the spa opens onto a new amenity deck that features a second swimming pool, private cabanas, a neo-classical fountain and a shaded canopy that covers an extensive outside living room.

And art aficionados will want to know that many additional artworks from The Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art at Rollins College will be displayed in the public spaces of the new wing.
