COMO Hotels and Resorts unveils COMO Laucala Island, a new private island escape in the South Pacific, scheduled to open on Dec. 15, 2021. This is a resort consists of 25 residences, each with their own COMO butler, spread out on private beaches, above lagoons, atop hills and mountains. With its private airstrip accessed by a 45-minute private air charter from the country’s Nadi International Airport, this exclusive sanctuary will provide your clients luxury living in 25 standalone residences located on the northern shore of the island.
Ranging in size between 32,292 to 43,056 sq. ft., all residences feature private pools. The construction used local materials where possible, and all the Residences are built with natural Fijian wood in a South Pacific style.
COMO Laucala Island offers a range of activities for guests. The island features an 18-hole David McLay Kidd designed golf-course, a wide range of land and water activities, a fleet of jet-skis, sailing and game fishing boats as well as jet boats and diving boats. The resort also offers horse riding, mountain biking, nature hikes and tennis.
COMO Shambhala Retreat, the island’s wellness center, is the embodiment of COMO’s philosophy for holistic, healthy living. At this retreat, guests can expect physical fitness classes, yoga, and a fitness center. Treatments use COMO Shambhala’s signature products, as well as the island’s herbs, spices, flowers, and fruits. To minimize its impact on the environment and in line with COMO’s farm-to-table philosophy, the island’s five dining options receive fresh produce from the resort’s 240-acre farm, which include a range of organic crops and livestock including chickens, quail, and wagyu cattle. Fresh seafood supplies are sourced exclusively from local fishermen, contributing to the island’s commitment to sustainability.
