The Travel Corporation (TTC) Strengthens Trade Partnerships

The Travel Corporation (TTC) has announced a comprehensive global growth plan for its Touring and River Cruise Divisions focused on driving success for travel advisor partners. This initiative includes a new direction for investing in trade and scaling its brands across Youth, Mainstream and Luxury segments.

“Our trade partners are critical to our success,” said Melissa Da Silva, Deputy CEO and Chief Sales Officer of TTC Tour Brands, in a press statement. “This plan is about ensuring our brands are easier to sell, better supported, and more competitively positioned in every market. “Our investment into technology, data and analytics will also enhance product innovation cycles based on global insights and market demand,” added Ellen Bettridge, CEO, Uniworld, in the press statement. “The focus on product scale also extends to expansion of the river cruise fleet, including increased Uniworld capacity and new ships to be added to the newly launched Trafalgar River offering.”

TTC’s New Plan

At the center of this plan is a newly centralized sales structure designed to enhance support for travel advisors while maintaining crucial local engagement. TTC has appointed Melissa DaSilva as Chief Sales Officer & Deputy CEO to lead this effort. DaSilva brings a valuable perspective to the role, having spent her first 20 years in retail travel agency operations before joining TTC in 2013.

There are substantial changes in how TTC supports its business development. The company is expanding its on-road sales team while establishing a dedicated inside sales team to cultivate new partnerships. Additional resources are being added to Partner Services to improve response times and streamline support functions. A specialized Sales Marketing function has also been established to better serve the trade.

This restructuring introduces 16 new positions to the organization, with an additional eight roles being filled internally. The investment aligns with TTC’s commitment to providing travel advisors with more personalized attention and responsive service.

Technology plays a key role in the growth strategy. Travel advisors will benefit from significant investments in the Travel Agent Portal, white label solutions, and APIs. The growth plan also refines TTC’s brand architecture with investment concentrated in three distinct segments. Contiki will lead the Youth category, while the Mainstream segment will lead with Trafalgar, Insight Vacations and Costsaver. In the Luxury space, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises will lead alongside Luxury Gold.
