TAP Air Portugal is rolling out several new services for travelers, including updated travel kits, complimentary access to digital newspapers and magazines, an option to skip meal service and a new luggage collection and delivery service.
New Travel Kits on Long-Haul Flights
TAP has introduced new travel kits for passengers traveling in Business and Economy Prime on long-haul flights.
Called “The Blaze,” the collection features bags made with recycled materials and products from Portuguese companies. The kits include socks from Portuguese textile company PEDEMEIA and wellness and personal care products from Algarve-inspired brand 8950.
The collection also includes items made with more sustainable materials, including a bamboo toothbrush and kraft paper packaging.
Free Access to Newspapers and Magazines
Passengers flying on TAP’s Airbus A330-900 and Airbus A321LR aircraft can now access PressReader free of charge through the airline’s in-flight WiFi portal.
Travelers do not need to purchase an internet package to use the service. Once connected to the aircraft’s WiFi network, passengers can access TAP’s in-flight entertainment system and browse available newspapers and magazines on their personal devices.
The selection includes titles covering news, business, travel, technology, sports, lifestyle and entertainment from markets including Portugal, Brazil and the United States.
A New Option for Passengers Who Want to Sleep
TAP is also giving long-haul passengers the option to skip their onboard meal.
Through the airline’s website or TAP app, travelers can indicate before departure that they do not want meal service. The preference is shared with the cabin crew, allowing passengers who choose the option to avoid being woken for meal service.
Luggage Pickup and Delivery
Through a new partnership with LUGGit, TAP customers traveling through Lisbon, Porto, Madrid, Barcelona and Athens can arrange for luggage to be collected, stored and delivered. The service can be used at departure, arrival or both, with luggage pickup or drop-off available at locations including airports, hotels and homes.
