Sundial Beach Resort & Spa is bringing back its Girls’ Getaway Weekend this fall, running Thursday, October 1 through Sunday, October 4, 2026, on Sanibel Island along Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. The three-night package is built for groups of friends, mothers traveling with daughters or solo guests looking for a few days of company and quiet at once.

“Whether you are looking to relax by the pool, enjoy personalized spa experiences, or participate in fun group activities like pickleball and pilates, we’ve created a curated experience that gives women the perfect opportunity to refresh and celebrate friendship in paradise,” said General Manager Becky Miller in a press statement.

Guests stay in condominium-style units with full kitchens, living areas and dining space, with daily breakfast and a handful of group dining events built into the stay. The schedule mixes organized outings with time to do nothing at all:

  • A welcome gathering, a crafting session, an evening celebration and a themed group dinner
  • A beachfront shelling walk, morning beach pilates, an island bicycle tour, water aerobics and a pickleball clinic for beginners
  • One included spa treatment, with additional services available at the Gulf-front spa, plus poolside cocktail service, umbrellas and beach chairs

Package rates also include access to the resort’s kayaks, paddleboards, bicycles, and its pickleball and tennis courts, along with beach service along a mile of Gulf frontage.

Sundial is located on Sanibel, a barrier island off the Southwest Florida coast, with four on-site restaurants overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, four tennis courts, sixteen pickleball courts, heated pools, a fitness center, a spa and an on-property marketplace. The resort also carries 20,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.

Space for the Girls’ Getaway Weekend is limited and reservations are required.

Six Senses Kanahura, Maldives

Six Senses is launching its first retreat designed specifically around women’s wellbeing across life stages. Called The Yin Way Retreat: The Way of a Woman, the program pairs modern wellness science with practices drawn from Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoist philosophy, centered on rest, receptivity, reflection and cyclical living.

“Women’s wellness has often been treated as a narrow conversation, focused on fertility and menopause, but it is much broader than that. Women are asking deeper questions about their health, often arriving at Six Senses when calm, sleep, and balance feel just out of reach. Brain fog can begin, and what follows is an overwhelming search for more information on cycles, perimenopause, fertility, fatigue, and the broader impact on relationships,” said Hati S. Malinova, Six Senses Wellness Director, in a press statement. “Six Senses is giving those questions somewhere better to go. We wanted to connect those dots with care and intention, creating the space and rhythm for guests to awaken their senses, supported by clinical insight and personal consultation. The aim is to give women tools they can continue at home.”

The retreat runs at Six Senses Kanuhura in the Maldives from Oct. 1 to 4, then moves to Six Senses Kyoto in Japan from Dec. 11 to 14, 2026. Both sessions follow the same framework, built to guide women through stages ranging from pre-pregnancy through post-menopause and the transitions in between.

The program leans on the “Yin” principles common to Taoist thought as an organizing structure rather than a single treatment. Sessions are framed around the nervous system and emotional regulation, positioning the retreat as ongoing support rather than a one-time reset tied to a specific life event.

The timing lines up with broader shifts documented by the Global Wellness Institute, which has tracked a move away from treating women’s health as an extension of male-based data and protocols. Its research points toward longevity practices built around a woman’s full lifecycle rather than isolated phases such as menopause management.

Hati S. Malinova, Six Senses Wellness Director and Integrative Health Expert, will lead both sessions. Malinova brings more than two decades of clinical work in female and reproductive health, postpartum care and family wellbeing, with a background spanning medical and functional health, counseling psychology and Traditional Chinese Medicine, including 12 years at a female health hospital in Shanghai.
