Eurail Becomes Interrail in Major Rail Travel Rebrand

Eurail is getting a new name. As of Sept. 10, the longtime rail travel brand is adopting the Interrail name globally, bringing travelers from Europe and beyond under a single brand.

The change marks a new chapter for the company, which has offered the Eurail Pass to travelers from outside Europe for more than 60 years. While the Eurail name is going away, the Pass’s core benefits—including flexibility and the ability to explore Europe by rail—remain. The unified Interrail brand will serve as the company’s global identity, regardless of where a traveler lives.

Introducing The Interrail Effect

Along with the new global identity, Interrail is launching The Interrail Effect, a brand platform focused on how travel can influence travelers’ perspectives, confidence and connections with others.

The company is positioning rail travel as more than simply a way to get from one European destination to another. A train journey can take travelers through changing landscapes, cultures, languages and cuisines, often within a single trip.

The new platform will shape future Interrail campaigns, partnerships, content, community initiatives and customer experiences.

The brand traces its roots to 1959, when a rail Pass was introduced to make it easier for travelers to cross European borders. Nearly seven decades later, Interrail says its new identity builds on that history while emphasizing deeper, more meaningful travel experiences.
