Seabourn has named the first speakers scheduled to appear as part of Seabourn Conversations, the cruise line’s three-year collaboration with The Atlantic. The initial lineup includes David Frum, staff writer at The Atlantic and host of the podcast The David Frum Show; Megan Garber, staff writer and author; Yvonne Rolzhausen, head of fact-checking at The Atlantic; and Evan Smith, managing director of events for the magazine.

By bringing some of today’s most compelling voices aboard, we’re creating conversations that spark new ideas, broaden perspectives and make meaningful discovery an even more defining part of the Seabourn experience.”
Seabourn Conversations
Seabourn Conversations was announced earlier this year to bring curated programming and exclusive experiences to select voyages, putting guests face-to-face with leading thinkers, authors and experts across culture, science, history and the arts.
The initial sailings pair speakers with set itineraries aboard Seabourn Ovation:
- Garber and Rolzhausen will appear on the 13-Day Atlantic Coast: Lighthouses & New England Charms voyage, departing Oct. 31 and returning Nov. 13, 2026.
- Frum and Smith will appear on the 8-Day Southern Caribbean Gems voyage, departing Nov. 20 and returning Nov. 28, 2026.
“Our first events aboard Seabourn are an exceptional way to begin this partnership, reflecting the range of topics, expertise, and storytelling that define The Atlantic,” said Smith, who leads the magazine’s events, in a press statement.
Additional programming from The Atlantic is planned for 2027, with details to be announced later. The partnership will culminate in a 12-day itinerary, With The Atlantic: A Seabourn Conversations Exclusive, aboard Seabourn Quest, departing Oct. 4, 2028, during Seabourn’s 40th anniversary year. That sailing will feature editorial programming developed with The Atlantic and inspired by The Atlantic Festival.
The collaboration also gives guests on select voyages access to digital content from The Atlantic, along with curated onboard libraries featuring recent issues of the magazine and books by current and historical Atlantic writers across the Seabourn fleet.
