Norwegian Cruise Line has released new images and details of Great Tides Waterpark, located in Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas. The nearly six-acre attraction is scheduled to officially open Sept. 4, 2026.
Attractions Expand Great Stirrup Cay Experience
Among the headline experiences is The Wandering River, featuring what the cruise line describes as the industry’s first immersive tunnel within a lazy river attraction. Guests can also take on The Great Slide, while Tidal Tower debuts the region’s first dueling Master Blaster water coaster slides that propel riders uphill using high-pressure water jets.
For younger guests and families, Splash Cay offers an interactive splash zone, while Cliffside Cove introduces cliff-jumping platforms ranging from 10 to 15 feet high.
New Dining, Cabanas and Premium Experiences
In addition to new attractions, Great Tides Waterpark will introduce several dining concepts, including Low Tide Smoke, serving barbecue favorites; Catch of the Cay, specializing in seafood dishes; and Tidal Treats, offering ice cream, sundaes and other desserts. Complimentary buffet-style dining will also be available within the waterpark.
Guests will also find new bars, including the Grotto Bar, located beneath The Great Slide overlooking the cliff-jumping area, and the Floataway Bar, where visitors can order drinks without leaving the water. Beverages remain included for eligible guests through NCL‘s Free at Sea unlimited beverage package.
Families can reserve private cabanas within the waterpark, while adults can purchase access to the new Vibe Shore Club, an adults-only retreat with premium seating and a private bar.
Day passes for Great Tides Waterpark are now available for cruises visiting Great Stirrup Cay beginning in September, with additional Caribbean itineraries featuring the destination offered year-round.
