MSC Cruises’ MSC Poesia is elevating the Alaska cruising experience with a huge upgrade. The ship will undergo one of the most extensive renovations in the cruise line’s history, including the addition of an exclusive MSC Yacht Club concept and enhancing its dining and entertainment offerings.
MSC Poesia Levels Up
The centerpiece of this transformation is the new MSC Yacht Club, a “ship within a ship” concept. This exclusive area will have 63 suites across five categories, including the ultra-luxurious Royal Suite, which boasts a private whirlpool and an 840-square-foot terrace. Yacht Club guests will enjoy 24-hour butler and concierge service, access to a private restaurant, lounge and a sundeck with hot tubs.
Culinary enhancements include the introduction of Butcher’s Cut, an American-style steakhouse featuring premium cuts from Meat by Linz, and a reimagined Kaito Sushi Bar offering authentic Asian cuisine. The new All-Stars Sports Bar will provide a lively venue for sports enthusiasts.
Wellness facilities are also receiving attention, with a revamped MSC Aurea Spa featuring an Ocean View Sauna, steam rooms and a salt room. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the enhanced MSC Gym Powered by Technogym, which includes ocean-facing workout areas and a dedicated yoga room.
MSC Poesia’s Alaska itineraries, set to begin in Summer 2026, will include 7-night sailings from Seattle and visit iconic destinations such as Ketchikan, known for its salmon fishing and totem poles; Icy Strait Point, an Indigenous-owned cruise destination offering wildlife viewing and the world’s largest zip line; and Juneau, Alaska’s capital, accessible only by air or sea.
The cruise will also navigate through Tracy Arm, a fjord featuring 3,000-foot cliffs and culminating at the Sawyer Glaciers. Victoria, British Columbia, rounds out the itinerary.
Beyond the Alaska season, MSC Poesia will offer Caribbean and Central America cruises from Miami during Winter 2026/2027, as well as Panama Canal transits between Seattle and Miami.
