Princess Cruises has expanded the culinary lineup onboard Diamond Princess with the debut of two specialty dining venues: Makoto Ocean and the cruise line’s signature steakhouse, Crown Grill.
Reservations are now open for both restaurants across all sailings.
Two New Specialty Dining Venues Join Diamond Princess
Makoto Ocean, located on Deck 7, introduces Edomae-style sushi curated by Chef Makoto Okuwa. The restaurant previously debuted aboard Sun Princess and Star Princess and now makes its first appearance on Diamond Princess.
Also new to the ship is Crown Grill, Princess Cruises’ guest-favorite steakhouse, now housed in the former Savoy Dining Room on Deck 5. The venue serves premium aged beef, chops and seafood and has earned multiple industry accolades as one of the top cruise ship steakhouses at sea.
Both specialty dining venues are priced at $55 per person and are included for guests who purchase the Princess Premier package.
Diamond Princess is a sister ship to Sapphire Princess. The ship is currently sailing round-trip from Singapore, offering itineraries that call on destinations in Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam before repositioning to Japan.
Diamond Princess Sailing in Asia, Eyes Historic Japan Season
Looking ahead, Princess Cruises is preparing for its largest Japan deployment to date. In 2027, Diamond Princess and Sapphire Princess will sail from the Tokyo region throughout the entire season, marking the first time the line has operated a full-season Japan program.
The expanded deployment will feature 78 departures across 50 itineraries, ranging from seven to 28 days, with sailings scheduled from March through December 2027. Bookings for the 2027 Japan season are now open.
