Crystal is continuing its long-term fleet expansion with plans for a third next-generation ocean ship, scheduled for delivery in 2034.

The luxury cruise line announced that its construction contract with Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri has officially taken effect, advancing the final vessel under an option exercised in 2024. The ship will join Crystal Grace, slated to debut in 2028, and a second sister ship expected in 2031.

“Seeing Crystal Grace move from vision to reality has been tremendously rewarding, and today’s announcement demonstrates our unwavering confidence in Crystal’s future. This third ship reflects our long-term commitment to the brand and to our guests, who continue to inspire us to raise the standard for luxury cruising around the world,” said Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, executive chairman of A&K Travel Group, in a media statement.

Designed for Luxury Travelers and Growing Market Trends

Like its sister ships, the new vessel will carry 650 guests and measure approximately 62,000 gross tons, allowing Crystal to maintain its high staff-to-guest ratio.

The ship will feature all-veranda accommodations, including an expansive Owner’s Suite, while introducing new suite categories designed to appeal to evolving traveler preferences, including solo cruisers.

Guests can also expect expansive indoor and outdoor public spaces, a full wraparound promenade inspired by Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, open-air lounges and al fresco dining at specialty restaurants overlooking the ocean.

Fleet Growth Continues

The announcement comes as construction progresses on Crystal Grace at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard and follows the opening of bookings for the ship’s inaugural 2028 season.

Once delivered, the three next-generation ships will represent the future of Crystal’s luxury fleet, expanding the cruise line’s capacity while maintaining its focus on spacious accommodations, personalized service and destination-focused itineraries.
