It’s true—fan-favorite cast members from The Love Boat are reuniting aboard Regal Princess for a special sailing from Galveston. Princess Cruises has announced that The Love Boat stars Cynthia Lauren Tewes and Charo will join the line’s 2025 Love Boat Celebration at Sea, sailing Nov. 16–23, 2025.
The 7-day Western Caribbean cruise departs from Galveston, Texas, with calls to Cozumel—including an overnight stay—and Roatan. Tewes, best known for her role as cruise director Julie McCoy, and Charo, who famously guest-starred as entertainer April Lopez, will reunite with original cast members Jill Whelan, Fred Grandy, Ted Lange and Bernie Kopell for this themed sailing, celebrating the legacy of the hit TV series The Love Boat.
Legends Set Sail on Regal Princess
“We’re honored to welcome Cynthia Lauren Tewes and Charo aboard Regal Princess for a joyful celebration that brings the magic of The Love Boat to life,” said Rebecca Thomson Foley, Princess Cruises’ Head of Entertainment, in a media statement. “This iconic show introduced the world to the joy of cruising, and reuniting with original cast members, including Jill, Fred, Ted and Bernie—and now Cindy and Charo—makes this sailing a dream cruise for fans and a thrill for new to Love Boat guests.”
The themed voyage will feature exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities, tribute events and live performances by Charo, known for her spirited Flamenco guitar performances and vibrant stage presence. Additional themed programming is expected throughout the sailing, offering guests the chance to step into the world of the beloved 1970s and ’80s television series.
