Celebrity Cruises is expanding into river cruising, announcing that its inaugural Celebrity River Cruises season will set sail in 2027 along Europe’s Danube and Rhine rivers.
Priority booking access opens Sept. 3, 2025, at 9 a.m. EDT. Travelers who place a fully refundable $500 deposit will be among the first to view itineraries, stateroom details and secure early reservations before the public booking window opens in 2026.
Celebrity Cruises Goes Inland
“We are excited to offer guests the chance to experience the first-ever Celebrity River Cruises vacations in 2027 with Priority Booking Access,” shares Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises, in a media statement. “Guests will enjoy the warm hospitality Celebrity is known for, on innovative ships, with land experiences unlike any other, as we set sail on Europe’s iconic Danube and Rhine rivers.”
The new product will bring Celebrity’s premium ocean cruise experience to river cruising, blending the modern, elevated design of its Edge Series ships with the intimate scale of European river vessels. Guests can expect 360-degree scenic views, locally inspired cuisine, immersive shore excursions and Celebrity’s signature service-first approach.
Fares will follow an all-inclusive model, covering meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, Wi-Fi, onboard experiences and one daily shore excursion. Optional pre- and post-cruise stays in Prague and Budapest will also be available once full bookings open.
Celebrity will continue releasing details on fleet size, ship design and itineraries in the coming months.
