AmaWaterways has opened reservations for its full 2028 river cruise program, adding four new ships, a new itinerary in France, and more land packages, along with two limited-time offers on select 2027 and 2028 departures.
The offers run in back-to-back two-week booking windows. The Past Guest Offer, Nov. 5-18, is limited to returning AmaWaterways guests, while the Black Friday Offer, Nov. 19 to Dec. 3, is open to all travelers. Both cover select departures in Europe and Colombia and let guests choose savings of up to $2,500 per stateroom or a complimentary land package, along with a complimentary stateroom upgrade.
Adventuring the World with AmaWaterways
Beyond Europe and Colombia, the 2028 collection also includes river cruises in Egypt, Africa and Vietnam. “We’re always looking ahead and thinking about how we can continue to evolve the AmaWaterways experience and bring our guests closer to the destinations they visit,” said Catherine Powell, CEO of AmaWaterways, in a press statement. “Our 2028 journeys reflects that vision, with new ways to explore, discover and connect, both on board and on shore. We’re excited about what’s to come and the opportunities it creates for our guests to experience the world with us in new and meaningful ways.”
Three of the four new ships will sail in Europe. On the Rhine, AmaMaria will carry 76 staterooms and use the next-generation layout and design of sister ship AmaFiora, which debuts in April 2027. On Portugal’s Douro River, AmaGaia and a second new vessel will join AmaDouro and AmaSintra, and the line’s Douro season extends through November and December. In Africa, a new ship on the Chobe River will operate alongside Zambezi Queen.
For clients who want more time on land, a 3-night Krakow package after the Best of the Danube includes a full-day excursion to Auschwitz. A 2-night Nuremberg package, offered before or after select sailings of six itineraries, includes the Imperial Castle and a Bayreuth walking tour. Other new extensions include three nights in Brussels on select Tulip Time and Best of Holland & Belgium sailings and two nights in Lyon, Aix-en-Provence, Dijon, Basel, Luxembourg or Porto, the last on itineraries that begin or end there.
On the water, AmaCello will sail a new 10- and 11-night Elegance of Burgundy & Provence itinerary on the Rhone and Saone rivers in July and August 2028.
