Aqua Expeditions is set to expand its luxury expedition portfolio with voyages to Svalbard and the Arctic Circle. Starting June 2026, the icebreaker-superyacht Aqua Lares will navigate these high-latitude regions, offering your clients a unique polar experience.
“With Aqua Lares, we’re setting a new benchmark for luxury exploration at the edges of the map. No other superyacht offers this combination of access, exclusivity, and personalized service in the Arctic. From Svalbard and the Arctic Circle to East Africa, Aqua is pioneering a truly global, deeply luxurious and personal way to explore,” says Francesco Galli Zugaro, Founder & CEO of Aqua Expeditions, in a press statement.
Aqua Lares: But First, Africa
Before its Arctic debut, Aqua Lares will explore the waters of East Africa, including the Seychelles, Aldabra Atoll and Zanzibar. The vessel will then sail north to Norway’s fjords, operating from June to September as the sole superyacht in the Arctic Circle, offering both private charters and individual cabin bookings.
The Arctic expeditions, ranging from 5 to 14 nights, will focus on remote routes through Svalbard, the Lofoten Islands, Tromso and beyond. Your clients can expect to encounter polar bears, migratory whales, and Arctic foxes, while also visiting historic whaling stations and seabird nesting cliffs.
Aqua Lares, an Ice Class 1B-rated superyacht, is designed for ice-covered waters. The vessel features 15 cabins, including three Owner’s Suites, across five decks. Amenities include expansive lounges, dining spaces and a wellness area with a spa, sauna and indoor-outdoor Jacuzzis. The 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio ensures personalized service for a maximum of 30 guests.
The ship’s capabilities enable exploration beyond conventional routes, offering twice-daily small-group excursions via tender, on foot or through polar plunges. World-class cuisine complements the immersive Arctic experience.
Bookings, itineraries, rates, and departure dates will be announced on Oct. 15, 2025.
