Karisma Hotels & Resorts has been recognized for enhanced guest safety measures with the new POSI-Check (Prevention of the Spread of Infection) certification awarded by Cristal International Standards at its resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean. The properties add this certification to the Karisma Peace of Mind brand standard of more than 100 hygiene and sanitation initiatives that ensure guests’ wellbeing and an unmatched level of service.

“We’re constantly looking for ways to incorporate relevant, third-party certifications and on-property protocols for world-class hygiene and traveler safety, so that guests don’t have to worry about anything but having an incredible vacation from the moment they arrive,” says Bill Linehan, president of Premier Worldwide Marketing in press materials, the exclusive worldwide representatives for Karisma Hotels & Resorts.

POSI-Check is the newest audit system by Cristal Standards designed to formulate and monitor an effective response to communicable infections in hotels and restaurants around the world. The system and corresponding protocols were implemented by dedicated quality assurance experts in tandem with the staff and management teams at each resort property. The certification requires daily monitoring, continuous hands-on training sessions, bi-monthly auditing, and easy-to-use swab tests to detect adenosine triphosphate (ATP) of key surfaces in public common areas.

This certification adds to Karisma Peace of Mind’s list of new health protocols, updated guidelines and industry-first independent certifications by top organizations launched earlier this year. Karisma Hotels & Resorts was the first company to adopt BIOPROTECTUS products, a sanitation system utilized by the healthcare and military industries, and is currently the only Caribbean hotel operator certified by the three leading independent safety and sanitation agencies: Check Safety First, Cristal International Standards, and EarthCheck. Further alignment with Deepok Chopra’s Delos Living brings a holistic, science-based approach to round out the well-being initiative.

Travelers looking to experience these safety-certified resorts before Dec. 20, 2020 can take advantage of Karisma’s new Time to Get Away offer, with up to 84 percent savings off of all-inclusive nightly rates (starting as low as $105 pp, per night). For more information visit karismahotels.com.
