There’s been nothing but good news coming from Nassau Paradise Island, and there’s more: Alaska Airlines has partnered with the capital of The Bahamas to bring in two new seasonal nonstop flights from the west coast, beginning in December of 2023.

Joy Jibrilu, CEO of the Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board, said in a press statement, “With increased visitation to Nassau Paradise Island from the West Coast, we are thrilled to offer even more options for travelers to reach our shores. This is the first-ever flight to the Bahamas from Alaska Airlines, and we look forward to growing our partnership to meet the demand for our authentic Bahamian hospitality, picture-perfect beaches and award-winning accommodations.”

Details on the new Alaska Airlines Flights

Both Alaska Airlines flights will begin service on Dec. 14, 2023, and run through April 10, 2024. Your clients will be able to fly nonstop into Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) on Alaska Airlines from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).

LAX will have direct flights operating four times a week, and SEA will have flights operating three times a week.

It’s also the first airport outside the country to use TSA Precheck to shorten the wait times for passengers. Nassau Paradise Island has a varied offer of family-friendly beachfront resorts and several adult-only escapes. Its proximity to the U.S. and the number of direct flights make it an excellent option for a getaway any time of the year.
