Frontier Airlines launched nonstop service today, May 22, 2025, from Miami International Airport (MIA) to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). This is ahead of nonstop service to Rafael Hernandez Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico (BQN) launching on Saturday, May 24, 2025. With these new routes, Frontier will serve 24 destinations nonstop from MIA.

Service to Austin from Miami will be three times weekly, while the service to Dulles will be daily. The Miami-Aguadilla service will be weekly.

“We are thrilled to launch these new routes at MIA, offering consumers in South Florida ultra-low fares to more top destinations across the United States and the Caribbean,” said Josh Flyr, VP of network and operations design, Frontier Airlines, in a media statement. “We are redefining ultra-low cost air travel, providing more comfort and convenience without compromising the affordability we’re known for. Now is a better time than ever for value-seeking travelers to make Frontier their airline of choice.”

Frontier Airlines has introduced several changes to its product and customer service offerings, ushering in what they call “The New Frontier.” Among the enhancements is UpFront Plus seating, an upgraded seating option with extra leg and elbow room in the first two rows of the aircraft. Customers in UpFront Plus have access to a window or aisle seat with extra legroom and a guaranteed empty middle seat. The airline also now offers unlimited companion travel for its loyal customers, with the flexibility to choose a different companion on every Frontier flight. Debuting in late 2025, Frontier will begin offering First Class seating on every flight.
