To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Intrepid Group has launched its largest Purpose-Driven Agent Incentive in the Americas, encouraging travel advisors to embrace the business’ philosophy of having a “Purpose Beyond Profit.”

The 3-month Purpose-Driven Agent Incentive—running now through April 30, 2019—rewards agents for “selling, leading and traveling with purpose.” During the campaign, advisors receive one Purpose Point for every client booked on one of Intrepid Group’s 2,700 sustainable tours—through the brands Intrepid TravelPeregrine Adventures and Urban Adventures—with the top 30 agents receiving monthly prizes focused on Intrepid’s sustainable travel experiences around the globe. At the end of the three months, the top 10 agents who accumulate the most Purpose Points will win a free trip to Nepal, led by Intrepid Group’s co-founder Geoff Manchester and Shayna Zand, the company’s head of business development for the Americas.

“Thirty years ago, Intrepid’s co-founders created a business with a vision of offering  a style of travel that benefits travelers and the places they visit” said Darshika Jones, Intrepid Group’s regional director of North America, in press materials. “This year, we want to celebrate our anniversary by recognizing travel agents who share our vision of ‘Changing the Way People See the World.'”

Intrepid’s 10-day Experience Nepal trip, departing Nov. 3, 2019, will take agents on a variety of experiences including hiking and a cooking class with Seven Women, a social enterprise that has changed the lives of more than 1,000 disadvantaged women in Nepal, supported by Intrepid Group’s not-for-profit The Intrepid Foundation.

“This is more than an incentive, it’s a celebration of the work that so many agents are doing to highlight sustainable tourism and the chance for travellers to help better the lives of people and conserve our planet,” said Zand.
