Sunnyland Tours has announced a Spain FAM Trip visiting Madrid, Andalusia and the Mediterranean Coast and including a stay in Barcelona.
The 9-day/8-night tour will depart from Madrid and include a river cruise in Seville, flamenco experience in Granada, and catamaran ride in Barcelona, as well as visiting 14 World Heritage Sites.
Departing on Saturdays from May through October 2023, the FAM tour will begin with a guided city tour of Madrid, taking in sites such as Barrio de la Morería, the Hapsburgs District, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa. Following a welcome tapas dinner at a local restaurant and an overnight hotel stay, the tour will then depart for Andalusia calling at Cordoba and Seville.
The following day will include a city tour of the Andalusian capital of Seville, visiting its cathedral – the second largest in the Catholic world after St. Peter’s in Rome – as well as the Santa Cruz quarter – the location for Bizet’s opera Carmen as well as the tale of Don Juan. The FAM will then board a river boat for further sight seeing of Seville including its elegant bridges such as San Telmo or Triana, the Giralda, the Bullring, the popular neighborhood of Triana and the towers of the Plaza de España.

The next morning the tour will drive east through the Caliphate road through the heart of Andalusia to Granada, where the group will visit the Alhambra complex, one of the most famous monuments of Islamic architecture in Spain. After experiencing an authentic flamenco show and dinner, the tour will then depart the next day for the Mediterranean Coast.
After a morning tour of Valencia, including the old town and the exterior of the avant-garde complex Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, the FAM tour will travel to its final destination of Barcelona. Here the group will visit sites including Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera and Casa Milá. The tour will conclude with a catamaran experience sailing along the coastline of Barcelona to discover the sights of the city by sea.
