It’s been four years in the making, but the doors to La Nauve Hotel et Jardin has finally opened its doors in Cognac, France. Part of the Almae Collection of properties, all personally curated by the owners, this belle epoque mansion has maintained its original façcade while being completely reimagined throughout with a design that will give your clients a distinct sense of place and history while pampering them with the modern convenience they require.

One of the many showstoppers in this new property is the grand staircase that will undoubtedly make many an appearance on your client’s Instagram account, thanks to its dramatic Murano glass chandeliers. The boutique property features only twelve ample guestrooms, including one Junior Suite.

La Nauve Hotel et Jardin: Beauty Indoors and Out

As could be expected, dining at La Nauve Hotel will be an intrinsic part of your client’s experience during their stay. Chef Anthony Caraballo uses local ingredients in his seasonal menus, including produce and herbs from their garden, paired with excellent wine and, of course, Cognacs. The property has a restaurant in the main house, Notes, and another in the restored distillery building, Brasserie des Flaneurs.

Outside, the hotel gardens are open for guests and visitors to roam the 12 acres, where they can relax and enjoy a private picnic, practice yoga or just retire to read a good book. The grounds extend to the Charente River, where your clients can hop on a private boat or paddle around in a canoe. The gardens also hide a pool, a stately century-old Sequoia tree, a small canal and more. If clients want to explore further, La Nauve has e-bikes available.

And, of course, being in Cognac means the libation by that name will be very present, and your clients will find up to 70 different select bottles to try out during their stay. Recommend a custom Cognac cocktail created especially for La Nauve, especially good to celebrate the exploration of the nearly 200 Cognac producers in the area, including a special stop at Delmain, where they can enjoy an exclusive visit to the cellar and an extraordinary meal. The town of Cognac is not far away, easily accessible by boat.
