Avianca Airlines is expanding its transcontinental reach with the launch of new nonstop service between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Bogota (BOG). The route officially began this week and will operate four times per week using Airbus A320 aircraft, offering more than 1,400 weekly seats between the two cities.

This latest addition brings Avianca’s total number of direct routes between Colombia and the United States to 19, offering travel advisors expanded airlift options for clients.

“With this new route between Dallas and Bogota, we now offer 19 direct routes from Colombia to nine U.S. destinations, with more than 170 weekly flights scheduled for the June 2025 peak travel season,” said Frederico Pedreira, CEO of Avianca, in a media statement. “This growth not only broadens our service options for travelers, but also strengthens our position as one of the leading airlines in the region.”

U.S. – Colombia Routes

The new Dallas–Bogota route joins Avianca’s growing list of direct U.S.–Colombia connections, including:

  • Bogota to Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, New York, Orlando, Tampa and Washington
  • Cali to Miami and New York
  • Cartagena to Miami and New York
  • Medellin to Fort Lauderdale, Miami, New York and Orlando
  • Pereira to New York
  • Barranquilla to Miami
