The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DTC) and Avanti Destinations have launched a joint campaign to educate travel advisors and their clients on independent and custom group travel to Abu Dhabi City.
“Abu Dhabi will appeal to many advisors’ clients—families, nature lovers, adventure-seekers, soccer fans, luxury shoppers, racing enthusiasts, and those looking for world-class art at the Louvre Abu Dhabi and stunning architecture, both traditional and modern,” said Avanti’s CEO Paul Berry in a press statement. “It’s so easy to combine a stay in Abu Dhabi with one in Dubai, Israel, Jordan or Egypt—all of which we offer.”
As part of the initiative, Avanti is offering 4 new itineraries, 12 new experiences and 7 new hotels in the United Arab Emirates’ capital city. Advisors will receive $25 gift cards for each FIT booking of a 3-night stay in Abu Dhabi with a minimum land booking value of $2,500. Bookings must be made between May 5 and July 31, 2022, and travel has to be completed by Dec. 31, 2022.
The new downloadable e-brochure, United Arab Emirates: Abu Dhabi, provides a map of the region and information on transportation options and visitor entry requirements as well as suggestions for shopping, what to see and do and where to dine. It also offers recommendations for vacation packages, hotels, experiences and day trips.
Among the 12 newly-added experiences are: a 3-hour camel trekking tour with a stop for refreshments; a 6-hour private tour of the city with stops at the Louvre Museum’s outpost on Saadiyat Island and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque with its famous hand-woven carpet that can accommodate 40,000 worshippers; and a private desert safari that begins with a visit to a camel sanctuary and ends with a candlelight dinner and stargazing.
Travelers can choose from 4 new itineraries, ranging from 4 to 7 nights. They include: the 7-day Best of Emirates package to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where travelers can experience the best the two cities have to offer and be treated to a 7-hour desert safari with a 3-course meal in a Bedouin-style camp; and the 6-day Abu Dhabi Desert Escape, where travelers will spend 3 days in the city before going to the luxury Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa. All packages can be customized to add extra nights, destinations and activities.
