American Cruise Lines is launching a new season to rival the majesty of the Mighty Mississippi. From March through the end of this year, the line will be operating five new riverboats with 11 itineraries in this destination. 2023 is a banner year for American Cruise Lines with the introduction of the new American Serenade, a new Tennessee Rivers itinerary and a bevy of new shore excursions, including an opportunity for your clients to participate in the taping of an “Antiques Roadshow” event.

The launch of the brand-new American Serenade is slated for April 20, when it sails from New Orleans to Memphis on a special 8-day Christening Cruise. This modern riverboat will join her sister ships, American Melody and American Symphony, on the Mississippi, along with two of the company’s classic paddle wheelers, American Heritage and American Splendor. The latter two received top-to-bottom renovations n 2022.

American Cruise Lines — 2023 Mississippi Season Has New Itineraries

New itineraries for American Cruise Lines begin in June when your clients will be able to embark on more adventures on this mighty river but also cruise along some of its more famous tributaries. The new 8-day Tennessee Rivers voyage will take your clients between Nashville and Chattanooga, Tennessee, with stops in Alabama, Tennessee and a sail on Lake Barkley.

You can book clients wanting more off-the-beaten-path cruises on the line’s 8-day Music Cities cruises, where they can explore the waters between Memphis and Nashville, TN, and cruise the Barkley and Kentucky Lakes. At the end of the year, you can book clients on cruises for every holiday—Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

If your clients are looking for a longer river cruise itinerary, they’re in luck: American Cruise Lines is where you’ll go to find the longest U.S. river cruise in operation. The 22-day Complete Mississippi River cruise takes them on just over three weeks of exploring the full length of the Mighty Mississippi with stops in 10 states. Have clients ready to book? There are dates in June aboard the American Symphony and in August aboard the new American Serenade.

New shore excursions are also on tap for 2023. Added experiences include Lee County Agritourism Experience, the Mark Twain Cave Exploration & Wine Tasting or the Natchez Trails to Tamales Experience, among others.

Please note all 2023 Mississippi River cruises (including the 22-day mega cruise) include one-night complimentary hotel stays in every departure port, plus extended pre-cruise packages. Special versions of the latter include two nights in Memphis or Nashville or a luxury Four Seasons Hotel Pre-Cruise Package in select cities. Shoreside transportation is always private aboard luxury cruise coaches.
